Leaves, twigs, soil, beech nut husks, acorns, clay, hemp, wood flour, oyster mushroom mycelium

Munkeruphus 2026

The sculpture is cast from forest-floor materials collected by volunteers at Munkeruphus. Hemp, wood flour, clay, and mycelium were subsequently added to the casting material and pressed into a mould. Here, the mycelium was given time to grow and bind together the remnants of the forest, allowing the form of the toilet to emerge. The sculpture continues to live on in the forest until it decomposes over time.
